After the First Semester at Seoul National University

Reflecting back on my semester in Seoul National University, I had a fulfilling time both academically and in daily life. To explore my academic interests, I selected courses spanning multiple fields of studies, allowing me to gain insights from diverse perspectives.

One of the courses, Sports Technology and Innovation examined the intersection of scientific advancements and their applications within the sports industry. The course was rigorous, involving extensive assignments and presentations, which required critical analysis of the rapidly evolving role of technology in enhancing athletic performance and sports management.

Similarly, in Studies in Developing Countries, I participated in comprehensive discussions on the socio-economic and political challenges faced by the Global South. Through collaborative group work, we critically analyzed case studies and proposed feasible policy solutions, fostering a more nuanced understanding of global development issues and intercultural dynamics.

Beyond academics, Seoul National University provided a vibrant environment with various events that facilitated engagement with local students. Actively participating in these events enabled me to experience a Korean student life and deepen cross-cultural exchanges. Moreover, this study abroad experience prompted critical self-reflection on my own cultural heritage and background, reinforcing my awareness of cultural identity and its broader implications in an increasingly globalized world.
